Riemann briefly remarked on this phenomenon in his paper, a fleeting comment which would end up as one of his greatest legacies. The Riemann Hypothesis. The non-trivial zeros of the Riemann zeta function ζ(s) have real part Re(s) = 1/2. This is the modern formulation of the unproven conjecture made by Riemann in his famous paper.

Riemann Hypothesis. Some numbers have the special property that they cannot be expressed as the product of two smaller numbers, e.g., 2, 3, 5, 7, etc. Such numbers are called prime numbers, and they play an important role, both in pure mathematics and its applications. The distribution of such prime numbers among all natural numbers does not follow any regular pattern. The Riemann hypothesis is a mathematical question. Lots of people think that finding a proof of the hypothesis is one of the hardest and most important unsolved problems of pure mathematics.
