Thanks to our superior infrastructure, like the MESA+ Nanolab – the largest nanolab in the Netherlands – and the open culture, the Nanophotonics domain at MESA+ is among the best in the world. Our researchers and (PhD)-students come from all over the world. In our leading research, we actively cooperate with influential companies like Philips, ASML, LioniX and The goal of the Nanophotonics team is to enable optical communications between switches on a chip at unprecedented efficiency levels. In fact, E 3 S researchers pursue the ultimate goal of experimentally approaching the quantum limit of photons-per-bit in a data-link. This will require reduction of photons per bit from currently used 20,000 to Integrated Nanophotonics Group. The group's research goal is to explore various optoelectronic platforms for applications towards energy efficient communication system, renewable energy, quantum technology. Nanophotonics Lab | W elcome to the Nanophotonics Lab at Arizona State University. We are located in the Goldwater Center of ASU’s Tempe campus. The group is directed by Professor Cun-Zheng Ning of the School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering, Ira Fulton Schools of Engineering. Nanophotonics is photonic science and technology that utilizes light-matter interactions on the nanoscale, where researchers are discovering new phenomena and developing technologies that go well beyond what is possible with conventional photonics and electronics.
